Our clients

Excellent service. We found the firm through a recommendation. We had a video call meeting where Dr. Karine patiently explained to us the possible immigration options for the U.S. and attentively clarified all our questions. Very satisfied. I recommend it.

Higor Medeiros

We had a consultation with Dr. Otávio, and he was extremely professional and insightful. He answered all our questions and presented us with the most appropriate action plans. After this consultation, we decided to hire HS Law Corp services with the confidence that we are working with a responsible team that will do everything possible for the success of our case.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check the processing time for an immigration case (USCIS)?

Visit the USCIS website and go to the USCIS Processing Times page.
Select the Form. In “Form”, choose the specific form you are interested in from the dropdown menu (for example, Form I-485, Form I-130).
Select the field office or service center. In Field Office or Service Center, select the location processing your form.
View the processing times. After selecting the form and office/service center, click the "Get Processing Time" button. The page will display the current processing times for the selected form and office.
Understand the processing time. USCIS provides an estimated time range. The time is usually shown in months. The first number of the range represents the time needed to complete 50% of the cases, and the second number represents the time needed to complete 93% of the cases.
Submit an inquiry. If your case is outside the normal processing time range, you can submit a case inquiry through the USCIS website or contact them to obtain further information.

Is it necessary to be vaccinated against COVID-19?

No. As of January 22, 2025, USCIS waives all requirements for applicants adjusting their status to that of lawful permanent resident to submit documentation on Form I-693 showing that they have received the COVID-19 vaccination. USCIS will not issue any Request for Evidence (RFE) or Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID) related to proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

How to obtain the I-94 and find out your admissibility date in the U.S.?

The I-94 is an arrival and departure record that documents visitors’ entry and exit from the United States. Here is a guide on how to obtain the I-94:

Visit the CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) website and go to the official CBP site.

Fill in the necessary information. Click on “Get Most Recent I-94” and provide your personal details, such as your passport number, passport issuing country, date of birth, and date of your last entry into the U.S.

View and print. After entering the required information, you will be able to view and print your I-94 record.
